I Ran Out Of UTME Hall To Pursue A Music Vocation – Crayon

BlowTime Regalement and Mavin Records artiste Charles Chibueze Chukwu better kenned as Crayon shares his sojourn into music during an interview on Soundcity Radio 98.5 FM.

The ‘So Fine’ crooner who bagged a nomination for ‘Rookie of the Year’ at the Headies Award 2019, narrated how he got signed to Mavin Records and the process of making his debut EP.

According to Crayon, he had always been composing music as a tyro prior to getting signed, however, the defining moment for him was ambulating out of the exams to pursue music as a vocation. He further integrated that this was during a UTME (Coalesced Tertiary Matriculation Examination), he stood up and ambulated out of the examination hall. During the interview, he verbally expressed that he hopes to return back to school later.

For Crayon, getting signed to Mavin Records commenced with meeting Baby Fresh through a mutual acquaintance who was a fan of his music. He withal verbalized that afore his official unveiling in 2019, he was housed at the Mavin Records HQ for proximately a year, recording music and learning.
